There's no such thing as a typical day at gabbegroup. But we thought you might find it interesting to have these snapshots of some of the different sorts of things that people with differing responsibilities might do on any given day.
- Meet with colleagues to review ongoing client programs and discuss new initiatives.
- Scan print media for public relations, marketing, Web and video opportunities for existing clients and to identify new opportunities.
- Work on a client positioning exercise, interviewing senior executives, managing the work of a marketing research firm, drafting a report and presenting the findings.
- Run a brainstorming session to develop ideas for media, Web, marketing and other programs.
- Set up and manage a naming exercise for a client's new service, product or venture.
- Contact key media resources.
- Write a speech for a senior executive, a sophisticated press release, a Web branding statement, a project update memo or an article.
- Review and comment on initial text drafts of releases, articles and other materials prepared by colleagues.
- Attend a client meeting to discuss an ongoing or new project.
- Accompany a client on a media tour.
- Spearhead the development of a complex new business proposal that includes a sophisticated PowerPoint presentation, working with public relations, marketing, Web, video and design specialists.
- Participate in a new business presentation.
- Help to arrange and then participate in a client press briefing or conference event.
- Attend a public relations/marketing/technology conference to learn about the latest thinking elsewhere in our industry and make contacts.
- Plan and manage a fundraiser, business launch or other special event.
- Work with internet technologists, designers, photographers and videographers on conceptualizing and producing print and electronic marketing materials.
- Develop media lists.
